RED HOT COVERS BAND AVAILABLE FOR ALL OCCASIONS

At the age of nine, Kevin had his first music lesson and has never looked back. Only two years later, he had performed, albeit only three songs, in front of the public for the first time at an Electronic Organ Club members night.

During his time having lessons on a weekly basis, Kevin was taking grades for Electronic Organ and Theory in Music. At the age of thirteen, he took up piano lessons and subsequently took further exams.

When he was fifteen years of age, he had started to give evening concerts on the electronic organ and a year later gave his first lesson teaching people to play. It was at this time, as Kevin says 'one of the best times in his career'  when he did a three year course at Barking College studying not only O' Level but also A' Level in Music and also went on to achieve a Diploma in Electronic Organ, Grade 8 in Theory of Music and Grade 6 in Piano. It was also here that Kevin went on to meet the love of his life but that's a story in itself.

While at college, Kevin did two recording contracts with the BBC for a Radio 2 programme called The Organist Entertains. In actual fact on the night of the Zeebrugge ferry disaster (6th March 1987), one of the songs that Kevin had recorded was being broadcast when the programme was interrupted to bring a news flash of the breaking story.

In September 1987, Kevin started work at Freedmans music shop in Leytonstone, teaching for Yamaha giving group lessons on elecronic organ for two days of the week which lasted only two years due to the shop closing down. In the mean time, he had started to build up a heavy schedule of private lessons and solo gigs.

In the early 1990's, Kevin started to branch out working in duos and in a group but it was in 1994 that his career took a change. Already teaching, giving lessons at Marshalls Park School in the evenings, he met another Kevin (Kevin Isaac ) and a duo called Just For You  took off.

He worked with this duo for twelve years before it sadly had to come to an end due to Kevin Isaac  moving away from the area. It was to change the direction of his career for good!! Up to this point, Kevin had never sung, but as a result of the duo work and building up the confidence to do so, he can now be heard singing backing vocals with the band.  In 2008, Kevin also formed a new trio with Judy and Ty called Timeless  who can be seen performing in various venues in Essex and Hertfordshire.

In springtime of 1998 and through somebody Kevin was teaching, he was introduced to a blues/rock jam night held evey Monday at the Hop Poles pub in Enfield, North London. To start with, he was only attending on the odd occasion although he was in demand when he did.  However, a radical change occurred in November of the same year. Something had happened one night which had left the club without a house band and Kevin agreed to fill in as the keyboard player for the house band on a short term basis. His life was about to change forever!!!

On that first night, he was part of the newly formed house band with Mike (guitarist) and Fletch (bass) along with Terry Humphries (vocals and rhythm guitar) and Terry Rhodes (drummer). In 1999 they decided that they would like to do some evening gigs.  After many rehearsals and going under the name of Easy Access, the band took off.

Since then things have changed, a new drummer replaced the original in 2000 (Chops...you are a legend!!!!!) and after Terry left at the end of 2006, Suzi  joined in early 2007 and their newly named band was formed!!

In Kevin's words......

'Being with Suzi and the Hotlicks is so much fun. Every rehearsal and gig is such a laugh and enjoyable. We are a family and long may it stay that way.....ROCK ON!!!! '
